Chopped Spinach
Spinach is known for its high levels of Iron as well as many other vitamins and minerals making it a very nutritious vegetable. Shana Spinach may be used immediately from frozen, making them a tidy and convenient way of enjoying the vegetables at its best.
Our vegetables and fruits are frozen close to the time of harvest to ensure they retain a higher level of vitamins and nutrients. Absolutely no water is added during the IQF (Individual Quick Freezing) process, providing you with nature’s best.

Recipe : Spinach Saag
Ingredients
- 300 g Shana Spinach
- 1 Onion (chopped)
- 1/2 tsp. Ground Ginger
- 2 tsp. Garam Masala
- 1 tbsp. Oil
- 2 Garlic Cloves (minced)
- 1 can Tomatoes
- 3 tbsp. Plain Yogurt
- 1 1/4 tsp. Curry Powder
- 1 1/2 tsp. Ground Coriander
- Pinch Cumin Powder
- 3/4 tsp. Sugar
- 1/2 tsp. Salt
- 1 cup Water
Method
- Heat oil in a pan and add onion, ginger and garam masala. Saute until onions are translucent.
- Add garlic and cook for 1 minute. Then, add tomatoes and cook for 2 - 3 minutes.
- Stir in yogurt and then add curry powder, coriander, cumin, sugar and salt.
- Add Shana Spinach and mix well. Then, add water and cover to simmer in medium heat for 30 minutes.
- Remove the lid and cook off any remaining liquid. Puree the Spinach using blender or food processor. Leave it as chunky as you like. Add salt to taste.
